Responsibility

Leading Engineering Support group to provide engineering support to production (supply chain and manufacturing), sale & marketing, and application; continuously improving products performance, cost and quality

Main activities

Engineering Support Business Manager

Manage team on customized product, quality problem solving and self-improvement project

Make continuous improvement on the process, procedure, tools, guideline to maximize engineering support performance and productivity

Evaluate capacity and complexity of new customized request vs resource status, and assign to exact individual

Develop the best practices and tools for project management and ensure they are followed or implemented in the most effective way

Set target on customized product, technical document, order dimension drawing, ensure sales project to be effective executed within target

Generate overall project reports for the sake of effective communication, and getting quick feedback on resources, lead time, decisions

Ensure customized product to be designed comply to standards, policies, procedures, guideline and templates with higher performance and low cost via project review and audits

Customized product, technical document, order dimension drawing to be fully check/approved by the role of checker/approver, eliminate the potential crises before release to production

Individual Facilitator

Help define individual responsibility scope, goals and deliverables to ensure compliance with business goals

Coach, mentor, and train of problem solving methodology, production knowledge experience, and new technology sharing

Coordinate with team members, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work

Investigate advanced product design, problem solving and technical related risk analysis methodology for team use

Assist in daily problem solving activities by proposing rules, methodology, concept

Project Liaison with Stakeholders beyond R&D

Liaise with planner, QC, product on engineering change to ensure all the change to be fully implemented

Liaise with project stakeholders on outstanding issues to mitigate impact to delivery

Where required, negotiate with relative department managers for the acquisition of supports ,resources, tools, or process optimization

Take tasks for other engineering business projects as assigned by Global R&D Director

Main Requirement

Bachelor's degree is at least. Science or Engineering major is preferred.

10 years working experience in product design and development with at least 5 years management responsibility

Ability to manage multiple projects

Proficient in the use of spreadsheets and other computer applications

Knowledge of 3D drafting tool such as PRO Engineering, Solid works and UG

Database and operating systems experience with ERP such as Oracle and SAP.

Knowledge/experience of Centrifugal pump working principle

Knowledge of product architecture building

Demonstrated experience in personnel management

Knowledge on pump engineering and manufacturing is a plus

Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.

Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Ability to read communication styles of team members

Persuasive, encouraging, and motivating.

Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments.

Strong written and oral communication skills.

Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.

Customer service skills an asset.

                                  Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.
